Yes, it is advisable. The General Body should approve the visitor-parking policy, applicable charges, free-parking duration, member responsibilities and the appointment of MetroPark+ as the society’s digital parking-management platform. We initially provide free pilot to each society for one month and provide parking analytics. Society management can submit the report in AGM and take approval. See below video about Analytics . No. An AGM resolution cannot override the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, applicable Rules, the society’s registered bye-laws or directions issued by competent authorities. The resolution and parking policy must remain within these legal provisions.
A parking fee is charged for using a parking space. A MetroPark+ platform fee is charged for services such as issuing a digital parking pass, identifying an available slot, notifying security, maintaining records, monitoring parking duration and generating reports.
Yes. MetroPark+ may charge the society or the requesting member a clearly disclosed platform or convenience fee for generating and managing a digital parking pass. This should be shown separately from any parking charge collected by the society.
Charging or debiting the host member is generally administratively more transparent because the member is governed by the society’s registered bye-laws. The society may decide its collection method through its approved parking policy, subject to applicable law.MetroPark can customize payment collection to suit society bylaws.
Yes. A society may establish a reasonable free-parking period and introduce an approved parking-management charge after that period. The applicable duration, rate and exemptions should be communicated before the parking pass is confirmed.
The General Body may approve reasonable rules based on parking duration and availability, subject to the society’s registered bye-laws and applicable law. The policy should clearly specify the rates, maximum duration and conditions for overnight parking.
MetroPark+ can enable voluntary short-term sharing of an unused allotted slot, provided the society has approved a parking-sharing policy. Sharing does not transfer ownership, tenancy or permanent rights over the parking space.
A society may consider an approved incentive or reimbursement mechanism for voluntary slot sharing. However, commercially renting a society-allotted parking space is not expressly provided for under the Model Bye-laws. The society should verify its registered bye-laws and obtain appropriate legal advice before activating a member revenue-sharing arrangement.
MetroPark+ does not independently impose penalties. It records parking events, sends reminders and applies only the rules configured by the society. Any penalty for breach of the bye-laws must be approved and imposed by the society by following the applicable notice, hearing and decision-making procedure.
MetroPark+ is primarily intended for members, their authorised visitors and approved service providers. Opening society premises to the general public as a commercial pay-and-park facility may require additional legal, municipal, security, insurance and taxation review.
They can be configured separately. The parking-management or parking charge approved by the society can be distinguished from the MetroPark+ platform fee. This supports clear receipts, accounting, reconciliation and audit trails.

MetroPark+ helps societies optimize the utilization of visitor and member parking spaces. They get authentic error free visitor's digital records . In addition, societies can earn a share of the platform fees generated through parking slot bookings and visitor parking transactions. The platform also improves parking discipline, transparency and visitor management.
Platform fees depend on the size and type of the premises. For residential and commercial societies, fees typically start from ₹2 per parking pass for the member requesting parking and ₹5 for the member whose parking slot is allocated. For educational institutions, corporate campuses and smart office complexes, visitor parking passes typically start from ₹3 per visitor pass. Please contact us for customized pricing.
Visitor parking spaces within the premises should be uniquely identified and mapped in the system. A security guard or parking attendant should be available to perform vehicle check-in and check-out using the MetroPark+ tablet or mobile dashboard when visitors arrive and leave the premises.
If your parking space remains unused for certain periods, you can make it available for sharing through MetroPark+. The system allocates available parking slots to fellow members or their guests when required. Parking utilization reports are maintained automatically, enabling members to compensate parking owners based on actual usage, thereby generating additional income from otherwise unused parking spaces.
Yes. A pilot implementation can begin with a limited number of members who wish to share parking spaces among themselves. However, since visitor vehicle check-in and check-out is typically managed by the security staff through the MetroPark+ dashboard, cooperation from the society management and security team is recommended for smooth operations.
The society management committee should define and configure parking charges for visitor parking as well as member-shared parking spaces. Once configured, the same rules and pricing structure are applied uniformly to all members using the platform.
MetroPark+ promotes a transparent and trust-based community parking model. Detailed parking utilization reports are available to all participating members. If a member repeatedly fails to settle parking usage charges, the society can suspend or deactivate that member's access to the shared parking network until payments are resolved.
